New York, Canada to reopen cinemas after a year

Cinemas of New York and Canada are to open doors to audiences after one year of closure over COVID-19 outbreak.

Cinemas of New York and Canada are slated to open doors to audiences after one year of closure over COVID-19 outbreak.

The officials have announced that the cinema halls are to be opened observing coronavirus health protocols.

Andrew Cuomo, New York governor, announced that the cinemas are to reopen with 25% of capacity from March 5.

Also François Legault, the Canadian Prime minister told the media that the cinemas accept maximum of 250 audiences starting from February 25.

The US and Canada hope that the reopening of cinemas will give new life to the film industry.

However, the decision has been made despite the fact that the number of COVID-19 patients has risen to the beginning of the second wave in December 2020 in the US.
